Wired cameras will turn off when the power is cut off, such as during a power outage or blackout, and will automatically turn back on when the power is restored.

BIOTA indoor smart camera devices are designed for indoor use only, and do not have dust and water protection certification. Although the devices can still function outdoors, users are advised to be wise when using BIOTA devices. For outdoor use, BIOTA provides outdoor smart camera devices with dust and water protection.

In order to maintain user privacy, the BIOTA smart camera already has a Private Mode feature. When activating this feature, the camera will stop recording, and the sound and movement notification features and two-way audio cannot be accessed. Private Mode can be activated via the BIOTA application by following these steps: 1. Open the BIOTA application. 2. Select the desired camera from the list of smart devices that are already connected to the account. 3. On the live stream page, tap the (↑) icon in the lower right corner. 4. On the 'Features' tab, tap the 'Private Mode' icon. 5. The camera will automatically stop recording. 6. To wake the camera back up, tap the 'Turn on the camera' button on the screen.
